“The way we treat our children directly impacts what they believe about themselves.”-Ariadne Brill
My Teaching Mission Statement
As an educator, I strive to learn as much as I teach—to learn from colleagues, students, and self-reflection. I will use what I learn to inform my teaching. I strive to create a community where all individuals are accepted, trusted and take ownership for their learning. In addition, I strive to make learning tangible and accessible to all students by differentiating. I hope to create an environment where students are eager to learn, are resourceful, and become life long learners. I will encourage students to question, wonder, and think critically about the material and how it relates to the world in which we live. Each page will showcase much of what I value as an educator.
